Our Occupational Therapists

Occupational Therapists help us to maintain our independence – and that’s what Farborg chairs do too.

Our Product Specialists are specially trained by our team of Occupational Therapists to fully understand the science behind healthy and comfortable seating.

We’d like to introduce you to Jenny and Debra, who not only help us perfect our chair designs, they can also help you find the perfect riser recliner. If you’d like to speak to Jenny or Debra, please complete the form at the bottom of this page to book a phone consultation.

Jenny Rolfe

Jenny qualified in 1997, then completed her MSc in neurorehabilitation in 2007 and a PG certificate in the physical management of complex disability in 2008. Jenny’s career has focused on neurorehabilitation and complex disability management, working across many settings including nationally to improve wheelchair provision for people with rapidly progressive neurological diseases, NHS England, wheelchair manufacturers, and third sector organisations.

Jenny formed part of the clinical committee writing the NICE guidelines for the management of motor neurone disease (MND) and has presented her work undertaken with Oxford MND Care and Research Centre and MND Association at numerous international symposia. Her work has also been published in the British Journal of Occupational Therapy.

Jenny lectures undergraduate and postgraduate OT students and carries out training events for health care professionals. Jenny joined Accora in February 2021.

“I work as a Consultant OT for Farborg and provide clinical input into their product development.

I have an Msc in Neuro rehabilitation and have worked on a few research projects. I also carry out some associate lecturing for Oxford Brookes University on their Occupational Therapy BSc and MSc courses.

My specialist areas are neurology and rarer neurological conditions, complex disability management, and postural management.

“I am a Consultant Occupational Therapist for Farborg.

My passion is healthcare and helping people. It is a privilege to work alongside the army of professionals and carers who help support people at home, and individuals struggling to live independent lives.

Being able to offer practical help to make this easier and sometimes completely transform a person’s  independence inspires me everyday.”

Debra Dunitz

Since qualifying in 2006, Debra has worked as an occupational therapist in both community and in-patient environments. After 3 years on a mixed NHS and social care rotation, Debra moved to Brent local authority, where she worked for 5 years.

In 2014 Debra split her role between managing her own caseload in the private sector and Barnet local authority’s equipment provision service. As part of her role with Barnet, Debra took the lead in implementing recommendations on how to manage a more cost-effective service and on authorising all high-cost and new special equipment.

By sharing experiences of her role in Barnet and as a practising OT, Debra now runs our seating assessment training programme.
